Easter and a park

Over Easter we went camping with Mollie's cousins, Katharine, Yosuke and Kumi Sho, in Alabama. The camp site was near their home in the Birmingham area. We got to use our tent and even got to test it's water proofing capabilities during a thunderstorm. We all had a great time.

The kids pose for a photo along a hike
to a waterfall.

Griffin, Kumi, and Catalina along the trail.

Our first Easter egg hunt was outside our tent in the forrest. The kids had a great time finding eggs hidden in trees, creeks, nooks and crannies.

 Griffin on the hunt.

 Catalina readying for the hunt.

 After the hunt.

Later that day we went to Katherine's local church for another, more organized, egg hunt. Everyone also had a lot of fun there.

All four kids getting ready for the hunt.

Griffin enjoying himself (I forced him to smile).

Olive after her second hunt of the day.

Catalina got to pose with the Easter Bunny.
I think the other two feared for their lives.

Not long after that trip Mollie took the kids to the Botanical Gardens. They got to goof around on an end of Winter warm day.

Relaxing on a bench. Notice Griffin giving "bunny ears"
to Olive's unicorn.
