Summer Time: Late July Post

We have been having a great summer so far. There have been swimming lessons, camps, and long warm / humid days. I think Mollie is ready for the older kids to be back in school so she can get some rest. Catalina has started to eat baby food and sit in a high chair (pictured below)

 She is so clean that this must be prior to eating.

She is happy to be in the chair and out of the Bumbo.

The older kids and I went to the park one day. Griffin found a 

pill bug (a.k.a. Wood Louse). He then showed it to his sister.

Here is a baby toad, about 1/2 inch long, that I caught for the kids.

Summer Time Post

I took these photos this weekend and I thought I would put them up. It has been super hot for about a week now, so we have been inside and at the pool a lot. I got the camera out this weekend because I had not taken a picture since Olive Junes birthday. Catalina is growing and changing so fast. We think she is going to be crawling soon.

I took the kids to our local park on Saturday morning. We went looking for animals and took Griffin's net. We saw tadpoles, fish, and looked for snakes but saw none. It was so hot that the kids were done within twenty minutes of being at the park. As we were leaving I spotted a crayfish and we caught it. The kids were very excited.

When Griffin and I were in California we bought OJ a Sloth puppet. Since then she has fallen in love with Sleepy Sloth. Here they are together.
