Turning Five Years Old

Griffin turned 5 on November 14. He is such a big boy now and doing normal big boy things. With money he got for his birthday he got a bug collection set in clear plastic cubes. He was very excited.

Check out this beetle.

On his birthday morning he opened all his presents that came in the mail.

Griffin's birthday party took place the day before his actual birthday. The party was at the Sandy Creek Nature Center where teachers taught the party goers about dinosaurs and fossils. The parents and the kids all had a great time.

Everyone was very attentive and had fun.

Olive June had to be held most of the time but she still had a good time.

After class time there was a fossil dig in a giant sandbox.

They all got in the sand for this giant fossil.

They also got to pet some animals: a tortoise (pictured here), a bearded dragon, a corn snake, and a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach.

After fossil and critter time we had cake and present time.

Cool, a dragon on my cake.

Opening presents; Another dragon.

Wow, what is that?

A cool umbrella.

We and Griffin had a great Birthday weekend.

Beach Trip 2 and Halloween

So Halloween was great. This is a photo of the kids prior to going Trick-or-treating. Griffin had already been to two Halloween parties before Halloween day, so he already had candy to eat.

Griffin is a Dragon and he loved wearing his costume from last year. Last year he could not actually go Trick-or-treating because we were at the Ronald McDonald house. It was very fun to have him out and about in the neighborhood in his costume.

Olive June was Dumbo. At first she hated wearing the costume but she grew to love it. By the time Halloween came around she was wore the costume for hours.

Take my picture.

Mollie was on a Women's Retreat, put on by our church, for two days prior to Halloween. She got some good girl's time and some needed rest. The kids were talking to her on the phone. They enjoyed hearing her voice.

Olive June had some things to tell mama too.

Here are our Jack-o-lanterns.

Here is a photo from the local Fall Festival. We were on the Hay-ride here.

Here are the kids in the stroller on a brisk morning on the way to the Fall Festival.

And now the Beach Trip...

Here is everyone, except the photographer Brian Sliffe, at Griffin's New Cells Birthday. Mollie's mom sent us great pictures from the West-coast New Cells Birthday, which we thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed. We hope you all enjoy these photos.

We had a Thomas the Train pinata that Griffin enjoyed beating with a stick.

Look at all that candy.

Oh Boy!

I want some too.

Sweet, a new Thomas train for my New Cells Birthday.

What do you have there?

Anyone that has visited Griffin knows about reading time. Mister Brian got sucked into reading time on a few occasions.
