A Snow to Remember...

...and it is still on the ground a week later.

We recently experienced a thick snowfall. It was followed a couple days later by a deep freeze. So we ended up with very icy conditions. A neighbor attempted to drive off our street on the second day, after the first snow. He slid backwards down the hill, at the bottom of our street, and came close to going into a creek's ravine. Mollie did not even try drive off our street until four after the first snow. Here are some photos:

I built up the snow part of a snowman for Griffin and Olive June. Griffin put the eyes, nose, and arms onto the snowman. He thought that was pretty cool.

Olive June enjoyed helping me do some drive-way shoveling.

But alas, most out time was spent inside. Mollie, and the kids, got a little stir-crazy after a while. Here the kids are watching a show in our bed.

Griffin and our cat, Bean, have become closer friends.

Griffin got into some old photos and it was cool to show him where we have been and to see him remember all the family members in the photos. He made us look through everyone of our photo albums and tell him everything we can remember about each photo.

White Christmas 2010

Winter is here and we are inside most of the time. This following set of photos were taken prior to Christmas.

Out little ballerina. She even likes to walk and run on her toes.

Ready for their close-ups.

Christmas Eve we opened a couple presents. Griffin and Olive really loved hearing the recording of John and Cyndi reading "The Night Before Christmas" in the book they sent.

Oliver also enjoyed the singing Frosty.

Check out this cool head-lamp.

Yummy, a pineapple.

We celebrated Christmas with our friends, the Heinsmans. It was really fun and great to celebrate the Holiday with another family. We felt so welcome and had such a great time. I only wish I took more photos.

Olive and her tea set.

Chilling out watching a movie.

Christmas Day it started snowing. On the 26th we had a nice layer of snow to play in. The play did not last long because it was SO cold.
