Easter and a park

Over Easter we went camping with Mollie's cousins, Katharine, Yosuke and Kumi Sho, in Alabama. The camp site was near their home in the Birmingham area. We got to use our tent and even got to test it's water proofing capabilities during a thunderstorm. We all had a great time.

to a waterfall.

Griffin, Kumi, and Catalina along the trail.

Our first Easter egg hunt was outside our tent in the forrest. The kids had a great time finding eggs hidden in trees, creeks, nooks and crannies.

 Catalina readying for the hunt.

 After the hunt.

Later that day we went to Katherine's local church for another, more organized, egg hunt. Everyone also had a lot of fun there.

Catalina got to pose with the Easter Bunny.
I think the other two feared for their lives.

Not long after that trip Mollie took the kids to the Botanical Gardens. They got to goof around on an end of Winter warm day.

Relaxing on a bench. Notice Griffin giving "bunny ears"
to Olive's unicorn.

Sandy Creek & The Mini-pool

This was a warmer winter day when I took the kids to Sandy Creek Park for a walk and some fun at the Nature Center. As you can see Olive June was in her "wearing pink penguin ear-muffs everyday" phase. We all had fun.

Running/walking on the trails

Checking out the river's edge.

Stopping for a quick rest.

Making a run for it.

Something interesting at the Nature Center.

Pushing buttons.

It got pretty warm a couple times during the end of Winter. The Girls begged me to get our mini-pool out so they could splash around. It made for some good pictures.

Ina entering the pool.

"Look at this splash."

Olive June joins in the fun.

Good times.

And here are a couple random photos to end the post.

All About the Girls

Here are some old photos (Pre-Christmas) I wanted to include. I recently sorted through all the photos up to April so there should two or three more posts soon.

The first two photos are from the two birthday parties Catalina had--one at home and another at Chik-fil-a.

Birthday cake with friends.

Sharing some ice cream.

OJ at the park.

Girls in their PJs.

Fun at the park down the street.

And back to 2015 when Olive June and I attended our first Daddy Daughter dance. Apparently the Daddy Daughter Dance is a normal annual thing in the South. We had a really fun time together but of course it was all about the dress.

 Showing off the dress.

 Mollie helped with the hair of all the girls pictured here;
Olive June, Hallace, and Ellouise.

Here we are posing together for the event sponsored photographer.
