Big Events and Changes

Many things have happened since my last post. We have been going to the park, enjoying the North Georgia spring weather, and seeing friends. Recently, we were honored with the invitation to have Griffin take part in the ribbon cutting ceremony of the Aflac Bone-Marrow Transplant ward at Children's Hospital at Egleston, Atlanta. Mollie was invited to speak, on our families behalf, at the ceremony. I believe we were chosen because Griffin is doing so well and Mollie is so well spoken.

We are so blessed that he is doing so well and that we were invited to be a part of this event.

On top of all this, it was an extra-special day because Griffin got to go in public without his mask for the first time in 7 months.

On top of all that Griffin got a special gift for participating: A dinosaur that roars and chomps when you touch it.

Afterwords, we went to Fernbank, an Atlanta Museum that Griffin loves. This time he did not have to wear his mask inside or outside.

We met our friends, who were also at the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Griffin and their kids got to run around underneath an Argentinasaurus and a Giganotosaurus.

This was the day Griffin got to throw-away his mask.

He was so happy!

The kids in our backyard having fun. Griffin was still wearing his mask at this time but I sneaked in a few snap-shots without the mask. Our neighbor's children out grew this play structure and were kind enough to give it to us. The kids have a lot of fun on it.

On Mother's Day we went to the Botanical Gardens for a hike. Griffin loves going on hiking adventures.

She was more happy to roam on her own.

Recently, we also got to go strawberry picking. Griffin was so proud of his bounty.

He was also very excited to eat some.

Olive also enjoyed eating some strawberries.
